MeshTalk Terms of Service & Community Standards
1. Agreement and service provider
These Terms are an agreement between you and DarCloud LLC (“MeshTalk,” “we,” “us,” or “our”), the provider of MeshTalk. By creating an account or using MeshTalk, you agree to these Terms and the Community Standards below, and you acknowledge the Privacy Policy and Child Safety Standards. If you do not agree to these Terms, do not use MeshTalk.
2. Eligibility
You must be at least 18 years old and legally able to agree to these Terms. MeshTalk version 1 is not directed to children. You may not use MeshTalk if applicable law prohibits you from receiving the service or if we previously disabled your account for serious or repeated violations.
3. Your account
Provide accurate account information, choose a username that does not impersonate or mislead, keep your passphrase confidential, and promptly notify omarabunadi@darcloud.net if you suspect unauthorized access. You are responsible for activity through your account unless caused by our breach of duty.
4. What MeshTalk version 1 provides
MeshTalk supports username/passphrase authentication, user search, direct and group text conversations, read state, editing and deleting your own messages, blocking and reporting, logout, and account deletion. Version 1 does not include voice or video calls, media messaging, push notifications, contact syncing, advertising, payments, or end-to-end encryption.
Messages travel over TLS and are stored on our server-side database. Because they are not end-to-end encrypted, do not use MeshTalk to transmit information that requires end-to-end encryption or emergency communications. MeshTalk is not an emergency service.
5. Your content and permissions
You keep ownership of text and other content you submit. You grant us a limited, worldwide, non-exclusive license to host, store, reproduce, transmit, format, and display that content only as needed to operate, secure, and legally administer MeshTalk. The license ends when content is deleted from our systems, except to the limited extent retention is required for backups, safety, dispute resolution, or law.
You represent that you have the rights needed to submit your content and that doing so does not violate law, privacy, intellectual property, or these standards.
6. Community Standards
MeshTalk is built for lawful, respectful communication. You may not use it to create, send, solicit, coordinate, promote, or threaten:
- child sexual abuse or exploitation, grooming, sextortion, trafficking, or any sexualization of a minor;
- credible threats, terrorism, violent extremism, instructions to cause serious harm, or glorification of real-world violence;
- harassment, stalking, bullying, hate speech, dehumanization, or targeted abuse;
- non-consensual intimate content, sexual exploitation, or threats to distribute intimate content;
- illegal goods or services, fraud, scams, phishing, malware, credential theft, or deceptive impersonation;
- spam, coordinated manipulation, automated account abuse, or attempts to evade enforcement;
- content that infringes copyright, trademark, privacy, publicity, or other rights; or
- any activity that violates applicable law or places another person at unreasonable risk.
Do not probe, disrupt, overload, reverse engineer where prohibited by law, bypass access controls, scrape users, or use MeshTalk to build unauthorized datasets.
7. Reporting, blocking, and enforcement
You can block a user and report a user or message from within the app. For urgent child-safety concerns, use the contact on our Child Safety page. For other concerns, contact omarabunadi@darcloud.net.
We may review reports and relevant content; warn users; limit features; remove content; preserve evidence; suspend or terminate accounts; and notify appropriate authorities when reasonably necessary. We consider context, severity, history, and risk. Serious violations may result in immediate removal. We may retain limited records of enforcement decisions as described in our Privacy Policy.
DarCloud LLC accepts reports and enforcement appeals at the safety contact above and prioritizes credible threats and child-safety concerns according to the apparent risk.
8. Account deletion and termination
You may delete your account inside MeshTalk or through our public deletion page. We may suspend or terminate access for violations, legal requirements, security risks, or discontinuation of the service. Where appropriate and legally permitted, we will provide notice and an opportunity to appeal at omarabunadi@darcloud.net.
9. Intellectual property
MeshTalk’s software, name, design, and service materials are owned by us or our licensors. These Terms give you a personal, limited, revocable, non-transferable right to use MeshTalk in accordance with these Terms. They do not transfer ownership of MeshTalk intellectual property.
10. Service changes and availability
We may modify, suspend, or discontinue features and may release updates needed for security or compatibility. We aim to provide a reliable service but do not promise uninterrupted or error-free operation. We will provide notice of material changes when reasonably practicable.
11. Disclaimers and liability
To the extent permitted by law, MeshTalk is provided “as is” and “as available.” We disclaim implied warranties that may lawfully be disclaimed. Nothing in these Terms excludes rights or liability that cannot legally be excluded, including liability for fraud, willful misconduct, or other non-excludable obligations.
12. Changes to these Terms
We may update these Terms. We will post the updated date and provide additional notice for material changes when required. Continued use after the effective date means you accept the updated Terms, except where law requires express consent.
