Delete a MeshTalk account
You may request deletion of your MeshTalk account and associated data either inside the app or from this public page. You do not need to reinstall MeshTalk to make a web request.
Delete inside MeshTalk
- Sign in to MeshTalk.
- Open Profile & settings → Delete my account.
- Review what will be deleted, enter your current passphrase, type DELETE, and confirm the permanent action.
- After deletion succeeds, MeshTalk signs you out and shows a completion message.
Request deletion on the web
Use the public credential-based deletion flow. It works in a browser without reinstalling the Android app. Enter your username and current passphrase, type DELETE, and confirm the request.
If the web flow is unavailable or you cannot verify your account there, email omarabunadi@darcloud.net with the subject “MeshTalk account deletion request” and your username. Do not send your passphrase. We may ask you to verify control of the account through a safe method.
What deletion covers
After successful verification, we delete or irreversibly de-identify:
- your account profile, username association, authentication credential, and active sessions;
- your stored direct and group message bodies; message records are converted to de-identified tombstones with no sender link so shared conversation history remains structurally consistent;
- your conversation memberships, read-state records, and block records; and
- other account-linked service data that are not required for security, legal compliance, or a live safety investigation.
What may be retained
- a de-identified receipt needed to prove that deletion was completed;
- safety reports, enforcement evidence, or records subject to a legal preservation duty; and
- Cloudflare D1 point-in-time recovery copies, which expire within no more than 30 days after active-service deletion.
De-identified deletion receipts and safety or legal records are ordinarily retained for up to 24 months, or longer when an ongoing safety matter or legal obligation requires it. Authenticated in-app and public credential-based deletion take effect immediately in the active service. Verified requests sent to support are processed without undue delay after safe account verification. We will explain any legally required exception when permitted.
Delete individual messages without deleting your account
Open a message you sent and choose Delete. This removes its content from the normal conversation view. Limited deletion metadata may remain for conversation consistency, security, or legal compliance. Deleting an individual message does not delete your account.
